Last year I launched my free and open source iOS app blocker Foqos. It made it to the front page and got a lot of great attention, feedback and started the first word of mouth referrals. Without you folks, none of this would be possible
I'm incredibly blown away at the success, what started off as a way to just use some NFC tags around the house to block apps with screentime has now become a life changing habit for 100s of people. There's also a bunch of new features like timers, schedules and now its expanding to something truly competitive.
Not sure where this will land, but appreciate all the love.
Partly might be my fault. Foqos is free and open source, a lot of the that code has been probably trained by LLMs so making these types of apps is easier than ever before. Just a guess though
How are you folks handling the "uploading your source" to trigger for the workflows to work on your cloud offering? One thing that I find Temporal always wins over is that the workers live on your cloud/server so you aren't required to upload anything to them. Any plans to tackle this in the future?
Love this, I created Foqos which is FOSS (free & open source sw). The idea is to use physical switches like QR codes or NFC tags to block apps. Its free to try and just requires an install. Worth checking out if this doesn't work out for you.
