It was stated a while ago that the pricing would be $35,000 before incentives. They probably don't want to say a specific price if incentives aren't nailed down yet.
You'd need to be able to ensure that everyone is using GPS altitudes before requiring it, and there are some pretty ancient planes still flying out there. As far as I know, ATC radar doesn't actually measure altitude but rather relies on the plane's transponder to report it.If you have some mix of baro and GPS altitudes, you can no longer safely ensure separation.
There should be enough checks for setting the proper baro setting - both pilots check the setting individually when changing it and it's reported to them a number of times throughout descent. Even if they do manage to get it wrong through all that, the GPWS should notify them if they get too close to any obstacles.
I interpret it as black getting colored colored brownish by the camera/lighting. Specifically, if you look on the left you can see another dress which seems to be black/white. And in that area, the lace appears the same color as the black of that dress.
They also used the engine for Escape from Monkey Island. What's neat about that is the first 3 games had the SCUMM Bar (SCUMM being the scripting language used for those games), which ends up getting replaced by a tropical-themed Lua Bar in Escape.
Yeah, step functions really break this. I think I was in a game with you or some else with the same general idea, they won on the very first turn with the sine wave trick.
Firefox's cursor hiding breaks it, won't let you move the cursor, so don't enable it. Red circled cursor is your actual mouse position, grey circled one is the 'ingame' cursor that's blocked by walls. Move the red onto the grey to start.
Unfortunately, the Oculus has some issues with full flight sims. It's still extremely neat tech, but I don't think I'll be giving up head tracking for it any time soon.
First, there's the resolution issue. I've only used DK2, but its resolution was so low that I was unable to read the dials/HUD without getting my face super close to them, which presents major issues when trying to maintain situational awareness.
Second, no matter how many buttons and switches you have on your HOTAS, you're going to have to manipulate something with your keyboard/mouse at some point. This causes some obvious problems when you have an Oculus strapped to your head.

It states very specifically in the memo he refers to:
"It is recommended (not required) that passengers bring along any supporting documentation (ID cards, letter from doctor, etc.) regarding their medical needs."
So yeah, it would likely be easier for him if he did have one, but it's certainly not something the TSA can demand.
