What’s your solution then to them being a monopoly? How would you meaningfully break them up? While they outperform the sales of Epic and Gog I’m not sure how they’re abusing their position or how they’re keeping others from entering?
I'd be very surprised if the "average" developer across the board was in fact not just a JavaScript / TypeScript only developer. I have no expectations or really even hope that the average developer I work with has ever written a line of assembly.
Their lives are probably not that more complex than others. They’re just neurodivergent or too task oriented in how they operate and need that structure to give them comfort and confidence.
It's important though to make sure that your team keeps tactical advantage so that it can continue existing. Maybe someday mankind will find world peace but in our current world there are a lot of nations that hate each other still and wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of weaknesses of other nations for personal gain.
