Ah thank you! Should’ve looked at the package.json description rather than the project’s homepage, hah

This page could really any explanation for what this is? Even the “get started” link provides no real elucidation. Or maybe I’m just an idiot (also very possible).

I’m tempted to ask an LLM to parse this for me, as I don’t think I have the energy; maybe it’ll be able to suss out what it wrote.

> Goes on to explain how they used 3D blender...which wasn't available until 1998.

You conveniently left out the second part of that sentence:

> … modern compiler and a platform abstraction layer.

The author very explicitly laid out their constraints in a bulleted list right below; I think calling this nostalgia clickbait is infelicitous at best.

This is irrelevant and it’s clear from your comment history you’re just spamming your company; please read the HN guidelines again.

Sorry maybe I’m missing something, but how is this gatekeeping?

It’s awful a child was hit, but they only suffered minor injuries [1]. Nowhere in your linked article does it say they were killed.

This sounds like a gross generalization of cyclists—I hope everyone’s friends aren’t this petty! I’ve gone on plenty of rides on an e-bike/not on an e-bike with folks doing the opposite and have never felt ostracized or made others feel ostracized.

As other commenters posted, it gets even more people out on the paths who wouldn’t normally be able to keep up or might feel self-conscious, and I think that’s a really positive thing.
