Can anyone explain why is Apple so opposed to having different browser engineson iOS? Is it really just about security? I don't understand what is Apple to gain by not allowing 3rd party engines everywhere in the world.
With every new iPad they release I'm hopeful they add a support for virtualization. If I could run linux in a docker on an iPad I would switch to it as my main computing instantly, but as of right now I don't see a reason to upgrade what's basically a glorified ebook reader and Netflix player.
I'm surprised that noone came up with a free (libre) alternative to reddit where each subreddit would be a deployable standalone server. Or is there a project like that that I'm unaware of?
