If the list of crimes and improprieties of this administration were ranked by their severity, this one will surely get a 5-digit rank.

I tried this through OpenRouter. GLM5, Gemini 3 Pro Preview, and Claude Opus 4.6 all correctly identified the problem and said Drive. Qwen 3 Max Thinking gave the Walk verdict citing environment.

> The study was on people age 50+,

So?

> In the US for adults 65+ (a key high-risk group in the trial), the ACIP preferentially recommends higher-antigen or adjuvanted options like Sanofi, Seqirus adjuvanted, recombinant high-antigen Flublok, etc as the "best-available standard of care",

Did this recommendation come before or after RFK Jr. fired all members of the ACIP and replaced them with his hand-picked choices? I suspect you already know the answer.

> * The "standard flu shot" Moderna used is likely not one of the above, or they would have said so

They didn't have to. The FDA told them they could continue to use standard flu shot if they wanted to as long as some statements were included in consent forms.

> The idea here is to see if the new shot is meaningfully better than the best existing/approved option for the target demographic, not to see if it's better than a standard shot you give a healthy 20-year-old.

No that's not the idea at all.

> All-in-all feels like a nothingburger.

No, it's not a nothingburger. It's a systematic assault on science and medicine.

What an incredibly shitty comment which is wrong on so many levels. You are the type of person who believes that Oskar Schindler should have been shot to death for breaking the "law" rather than being celebrated.

Yes, I did not want to copy paste the entire site. You did not post the full definition either and clipped a part of it as well.

> You clipped the first part while the definition was a lot longer including the above TSA can do anything they want escape hatch. Have a good day sir.

Your interpretation that TSA can "do anything they want to" just because the administrator can approve additional methods is grossly incorrect.

Have a good one.

You seem to be under the impression that the word "screening" means TSA can do whatever it wants. When in fact, if you click on the link under the word "Screening" in the own link you posted, there is a definition provided.

> (4) Screening defined .— In this subsection the term “screening” means a physical examination or non-intrusive methods of assessing whether cargo poses a threat to transportation security.

You should consider reading what you posted.

David if you're going to advertise your blog on Hacker News, you might consider not putting the post behind a paywall, especially for an issue as important as this.

> Obama supported deporting people all day long, especially criminals, but now believing the existence of borders supposedly makes one "MAGA."

Ignorance, wilful lying, no respect for due process, support for illegal state-sponsored terrorism, lack of empathy are some of the things that makes one MAGA. Not belief in the existence of borders.

> Some innocent people get caught up in the messy parts.

What's the number of innocents you're willing to sacrifice to get the outcome you desire? Would you be okay if you or your loved ones are caught up in the messy parts?

Are you willing to spend 37 days in jail to solve violations of public order like this person did? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/dec/18/tennessee-ch.... Would you be willing to go further and undergo torture and bodily harm?

Blind is the 4chan of tech, so in some way you're right. I guess some kind of people might find that "fine". Not me.

Perhaps you're one of those pro-Gestapo people? It's a popular thing nowadays.

The Blind community is one of the most toxic communities out there. It made me sick even before the tech industry had its mask off moment 1+ year ago. Since then they’ve only amped up the racism and hate. I wouldn’t expect to find any serious discussion there.

Around 2016-17 I read on a well-known white supremacist site about how people like Trump and Tucker Carlson are going to be so much more effective at achieving their goals than someone like David Duke who state those goals explicitly. Not in their wildest imagination would they have expected this level of success.

Congratulations to you and those folks.

I didn't realize it was important to be bored until I read/watched this: https://hbr.org/2025/08/you-need-to-be-bored-heres-why. There are some pointers in there that you might find helpful.

One thing that's helped me is solo hikes which I've done many times before. I still do them for workouts and use them as an opportunity to get bored.
