Anything that challenges the dominant white, anglo christian narrative must be stamped out post haste! I mean, how the hell else do we justify spending $500bn per year on war and spies?

If an American ever starts bragging to you about how free he is, ask him how he squares that with the fact that he is forced under the threat of incarceration and violence, to subsidize the CIA and the NSA which are the antithesis of freedom.

I do this, frequently, they always shut up, stammer a bit, then walk away.

A few years ago, Turkey's president tayipp, made comments about how Turks were invading Germany and Holland through breeding, since they wouldn't let him come throw political rallies there.

With friends like this, who needs friends? Oh there was a typo in the post.

's/NSO Group/Mossad/'

Fixed it. It's surprising to me that nobody mentions the fact that the NSO group cannot exist without the approval and support of the Israeli government.

Am I the only one unable to see "Space Force" without laughing and thinking about the Steve Carroll show of the same name?

Just like drugs, this is unsolvable because there's just so much money to be had without basically banning foreign students from attending American universities.

I have a close friend who used to get paid $5k-$10k per (Chinese) student to take tests fore them until she started looking too old to pass for a student. When she aged out she just started a "Test Prep Center", and now has about a dozen test takers working for her. She spent more $$ on her house in Palo Alto than I will make in my career.

That's just capitalism.

I've heard that the headhunters in the UK are the polar opposite of the spammers, I mean, recruiters we have in the states. 99% of the contract headhunters out there are basically functional illiterates when it comes to the tech spear (some of them aren't even that).

LinkedIn feels a lot like Myspace at the end, when it had been completely overrun by spammers and the company itself stopped caring.

Unfortunately, LinkedIn is the only game in town. It's pretty worthless though. In 2019 I received 6,000+ contacts from headhunters, maybe 25 were relevant and 3 were actually worth responding to.

LinkedIn's bread and butter seems to be spammers in India with addresses from New Jersey.

You will probably not find a good job on LinkedIn. Find niche-specific slack job boards and network with people. LinkedIn is mostly a waste of time. It was shit before Microsoft, now it's diarhea.

I'm glad I will be retiring soon and will never remove a connection for re-posting an Oleg Vishnepolsky post.

Fuck LinkedIn.
