so I guess the question is: why can’t one use wifi for these “supply chain problems” ?

the article doesn’t answer the question. Why setup an expensive private 5G network instead of a private wifi lan, also considering wifi maturity and wide support?

yes I’m trying to make the leap, want to create something that people use to have fun

we could have more spare time and use that to improve society, instead we’re kept busy printing money

Even if “now” they listened, they still don’t understand. Developers don’t live and breath Windows and VS. MS continues to push Windows experience first. Look at the joke of VS for Mac…

similar experience here, after 12 years with spotify I had enough of the confusing UI and poor recommendations. They literally know all the music I like and still I don’t discover enough new music as I did just listening to the car radio. Bought into Apple One and will see how that goes, I just need to migrate some playlists.

shouldnt they be “closed” laterally for aerodynamics, to block dirt and snow from getting stuck inside? guess these will collect dirt 100 times more than regular tires no?

while they follow the rules there’s no objective reason. If Apple is doing so only because they don’t like Epic, they are abusing their position

If it had sacrificed P IRC would stop working in case of a net split. Instead it keeps working in an inconsistent state.

no idea why ppl are downvoting, maybe don’t understand? disagree? Anyway some big companies are already working on tech that enables this implementation, so it’s not sn impossible scenario.

Age is going to be another credential, based on signatures that browser will be allowed to present. Spiders will have their signatures, which cannot be copied, eg think how SSL client certs work. Now, are sites going to require age credentials? sounds like a GDPR v2 cookies story.

Three. I’ve stumbled on that too, Internet has become so unfriendly.

I was expecting something about user accessibility, eg like how impossible it is to tap the Upvote button in HN on smartphone and tablet. If UI is indicative of culture HN hates people not using a mouse.

there are ways to be paid, just don’t expect google/apple/fb to do that until they will be forced. eg see new eu laws coming forward, and some companies soon will disrupt this space. it will happen like gdpr, someone is already preparing for it, without making too much noise...
