Authorium | Full-Stack Engineer (Mid & Senior) | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE (Mon-Thu hybrid) | Full-time | $148k-230k + equity | https://authorium.com

We're building the operating system for the digital infrastructure of government. Authorium is a GovTech SaaS platform that unifies the messy, high-stakes workflows (procurement, grants, budgeting) that keep state and local governments running. We replace fragmented docs, spreadsheets and decades-old legacy systems with a unified data layer managing billions in public funds. Customers include California's CDSS, CalPERS, and EDD, plus major agencies in NY, Florida and Washington.

We're >40 people, growing 45% YoY, with a clear path to profitability in 2026. Real product-market fit, scale, and impact.

We're standing up our SF office as the war room for our hardest problems: modularizing our core domain, designing the next-gen workflow engine, building versioning and approval systems that hold up across dozens of customer configurations. You'd whiteboard, debug, and ship in person alongside a high-caliber team.

Stack: Ruby on Rails BE, Hotwire and Next.js FE, enterprise form and document capabilities. We're leveraging AI in our development process: Claude Code for specs, agentic testing, automated reviews.

Two roles open:

- Full-Stack Engineer (3+ yrs) | $148,750-$201,250 + equity | https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/Authorium/b59ff28c-3e3c-4190-abaa-a... - Senior Full-Stack Engineer (6+ yrs) | $170,000-$230,000 + equity | https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/Authorium/dc83e0dd-9279-4381-9930-f...

Both value deep fundamentals (system design, database optimization, clean architecture) over specific syntax. Bonus for Rails, document-heavy systems, or regulated-industry experience (GovTech, FinTech, HealthTech).

Benefits: 100% employee coverage, 401(k), flexible PTO, home office + commuter stipend.

Apply at the links above (mention Hacker News). I'm Jay, co-founder and xCIO of City of SF. Happy to connect directly if you have questions, just reply here or reach out [email protected]

Authorium | https://authorium.com | Product Manager | REMOTE (USA only) | Full Time | $105K–$115K Apply here → https://apply.workable.com/authorium/j/52402161E0/

Authorium is a public benefit corporation helping modernize government agencies through document automation (think enterprise Google Docs — smart templates, granular permissions, and workflow automation). We have product-market fit, are profitable, have zero churn, and are growing quickly. Some of the largest government agencies in the world are our customers.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to help drive the next phase of our platform. You’ll work closely with engineering and design to ship features that make complex government workflows simpler and more efficient. Experience in B2B SaaS is preferred, and familiarity with government or regulated environments is a plus.

Suggest using a service like NextDNS or Pi-hole for DYI ad blocking at the DNS/network level. I started with pi-hole but the hassle of updates and most importantly not having it available outside of my home network pushed me to a service like NextDNS which works on any network (5G, work, etc)
