jpseawell·5 年前·議論I definitely agree that (in general) devs and mgmt do not understand one another.I think this is bc one practices abstraction while the other practices persuasion.I see these two forces as equal and opposite. A yin and yang kind of thing.It appears that the best orgs have these two things in balance.
jpseawell·5 年前·議論As a developer, I’ve noticed a pattern: devs complain about too many meetings -> devs are left alone (aka isolated) -> devs complain about being left out of decision making process/chain of comm.

jpseawell·6 年前·議論One time an old guy faking a limp walked out with a $3k Les Paul stuffed down his pants.Our managers chased after him and tackled him in the parking lot.Afterwards they were reprimanded for creating a litigious situation...Other than that just a lot of teenagers butchering their Dad’s favorite songs on guitar.
