I would be retired if I just worked the last 25 years instead of doing startups.
Startups are fun though, working at corporate jobs is so soul sucking I can barely do it for the time frames between startups.
If I'd just followed the safe path, I would have totally regretted not trying to go out on my own. My only regret is marrying a terrible person the first time around, crapped out on that one :-/
I've paid for 4-5 different streaming services over the last few years trying to see matches. They inevitably don't work, which is the only reason I use streams I find online.
If some random dude with pr0n popups can make it work but Fox/NBC/ESPN/etc can't, tough shit.
Yep, had that on my one 5 1/4" disk I got from a friend in school. Didn't know these games were in color until I was in college many years later (only ever saw green screens).
There was a lawn mowing game I loved as well. Plus all the classics (Bard's Tale, Ultima, Wizardry, etc).
Because purchasing a home is a rare event and closing is scary to most people. Miles of documentation to sign, things that buyers and sellers aren't familiar with.
Essentially it's just ignorance. I built and sold homes with my family for a decade, we had a simple 2 page purchase agreement with a reasonable amount for earnest money (small for spec homes, 20%+ for customs).
Most the paperwork and nonsense is from the buyer's mortgage company.
You don't need a real estate agent for any of this. People just don't know it yet. When someone brought their own agent, my best price always went up by their 3% as well. I never understood how people would find our homes, then have an agent bring them in. I guess you don't mind paying 9-15k for literally nothing.
I always explained my best price too (asking if they were being represented). Here's my price w/o agent, here's price +3% with agent. Had a couple of people try to get the non agent price after we'd negotiated. Never folded once on that fee, just like closing isn't my expense, it's yours and your bank's ripoff. (Notice they transfer mortgages for a few hundred between themselves after you close, the real cost.)

If people don't want their information shared, don't put it on a publicly accessible website?
I've yet to see anything facebook has done that is surprising. They don't charge people for using their servers so making money is clearly going to be from data analysis and marketing to users.
