Artist go where the fans are ... Last checked, they aren't on myspace, And most likely this redesign will not change that fact. Also, when was the last time you heard a artist give out the myspace page during and interview?
No one wants to rate everything. Right? I think this will be fun for a while and then it will get old quickly Or gamed.
I like the concept but it will need a dedicated core to rate and rate often.
I think it had absolutely nothing to do with the technology, but more of the execution. The thing that got me to use facebook is that when I search for some one I knew in high school or from a long time ago. facebook was a tone more accurate then myspace, and the suggested friends algorithm was batter as well. I personally believe that if myspace would have spent more time reinventing themselves early (2004,2005) then maybe they still would be relevant. But when you are as big as they where complacency as a way off taking over.
Beside twitter isn't using .net and we all know the troubles they had scaling.
I learned 90% of my programming knowledge online, and I think because of that I skip steps just to get to the end result. This behavior leaves me feeling lost sometimes, and usually leads me to starting over.
I needed structure, but didn't know where to start. This video really helped me understand the importance of having a plan and writing it down before you start programming.
what else should I have put?
Originally I had "what to do if your being stalked online."
But than I thought how many people have the resources to do what he did.
