Minecraft itself it good enough for... pure Minecraft gamplay most of the time.
But it can overwhelm itself. There's a equipment called Elytra you can wear to slide down the air, and if you use Rocket when sliding, you gain a huge momentum boost.
If you keep boosting on a server, being fast enough to challenge the serverside world-loading, you can crash the server.
Another big defect is it's rendering is deeply tied to cpu time, and the game itself has limitation. My recent experience with a 200+ mods & shader setup is that with RTX3080TI (also better cpu) and GTX980TI it runs at same fps (20~30).
My recent experience of keeping 1000 tabs around and auto unloaded (managed by Sidebery, a vertical tab bar plugin), is that it usually occupies 3~5 GBs.
It's interesting to see comments like "It's 2021 why can't you get Linux, you should or you are not qualified for a dev or even a CS student".
Though I manage my own cent VM, I'm really satisfied with my Windows environment, I can code in so many Languages and do so many things swiftly and easily on my delicately tinkered OS, why would I give it up to just code Crystal?
I've been using Firefox for like over 10 years I guess.
It's just the best browser for me, I can hack the browser UI, freely arrange the buttons and bars, and I keep 10s of plugins installed to comfortably browse, learn and work.
Recently one of my friends got suspended for he commented like "LMAO" in our language. This sort of low quality audits combined with the fact that in Taiwan the auditors are severely biased toward China, make it harmful on its own.
This resonate me, but also it's impractical to expect something achievable with tech to never happens as long as humanity exists. It's not even about who invent it.
The only solution is new tech to counter... new tech, it's no way back, I believe.
It's indeed really surprising to see them _patenting ECS_. Unity's ECS is a lot about cache-friendliness, not just simple entity-compoenent-system, though.
My rent per month is about 336USD (live alone), I spend about 400USD per month on foods, and that's because I'm too lazy to eat out that I basically Ubereat everyday. (If you choose Taipei, the cost would be a bit higher, The point to live in Taipei is the convenience and it's more approachable to newcomers)
There's a lot foreigners in Taiwan, so it won't be much trouble to blend in I guess.
We have a excellent control over the pandemic, we welcome you as long as you respect the rules and are willing to self-discipline (especially in this pandemic).
Login to recommend Obsidian, too.
After several months of usage, I even created a regex plugin to enable me to build knowledge database even faster :

So true, I really have to say Explorer sucks.
Recently I've been bothered by an issue that it tries to fully read every ts file, like maybe it's trying to read a Typescript file, but in my recent cases they are usually streamed video files of several GBs... It just never gives up and use my disk usage at 100%, I just have to kill explorer.exe everytime. I even tried messing with Registry about ts file but that's no good.
And even its Item Handler system is flawed. Still about .ts, it could stutter when I open context menu on ts files, then freeze forever if I hover over just 1 bit on "Open with" menu.
Most people are not ready for this kind of responsibility--living without social contract. (Maybe I am using wrong words)
