This is sad. If this was indeed copyright infringement, what was the rationale behind the Internet Archive initially adding these books? The Internet Archive has never been a pirate site, so there must have been some logic or justification for indexing these books.
One thing to ask. Initially I noticed a payment option to skip the waiting period. However, once submitted, I can not find the payment option anymore. How can I pay for an already submitted products to get 'Premium Badge'?

What I meant is the default ability to open any links of Hackers news in a new tab. For example, in WordPress, we use 'new tab' option for links or plugin like this - https://wordpress.org/plugins/open-in-new-window-plugin/ so that all external links should open in the new tab.
