I canceled Spotify after they created an AI clone of King Gizzard. I couldnt think of anything lamer than to try an replace a band like that with an AI rip of their music. Never again.
Its kind of annoying that CF would use an LLM to build something and try to pass it off as something built from "the ground up". Its just copying the library that was already build and passing it off as their own.
Gone are the days of the strong silent type running the roles of high power in the government. He is a real embarrassment and I feel sorry for his mother.
I use Sequelize at work and have used drizzle for a few personal projects and I can say that I really like the following:
- Native TS integration
- The migrations system is wonderful
- The API is more intuitive, imo.
I think it comes down to personal preference to use any/none of these tools, but I liked it enough to donate some space cash to the project.
When I was a kid, my older brother worked for Borland. He got me 2 packs of stickers that said "Delphi developers do it better!!!" in red font and a yellow background.
I started taking it and within 6 months I was at $100/day habit just to not feel terrible. I was also experiencing pain in my liver. I had to go to the doctor to get a suboxen prescription in order to get off it. The first few days were hellish even with the suboxen. I got to experience gooseflesh, which as you can imagine, is not a great feeling.
All that to say this, it shouldn't be legal and everyone selling it knows what they are doing. There are A LOT of scumbags out there.
I like to think that at least one worker was loafing on a project that was due the next day and there was no way it was going to get done. Their job was riding on it. They got drunk to embrace the doom that faces them, only to wake up with this news. Free to loaf another day!
