I sometimes went to bed early just to think! I was excited about it and looking forward to it. I don't do that anymore, but going for a walk without smartphone, no music, no audiobook reminds me of that time.
As father of three, lets ban it until 25. It adds zero value. Also parents, lay down your phones more, way more. Every generation is addicted. From teenagers to retired folks!
Even if AI pops, I do not think it is going away; the question is only how long it takes to recover. Additionally, robots are on the horizon. I am still very bullish on tech and honestly think it is foolish to be bearish on tech.
I agree with you and also, my goals don’t have to be aligned with the company.
My career is way longer then the couple of years I’m gonna work for you. Do you want to know my goal? Learn, improve, move on. I don’t care about the company as long as I trade my hours for money.
If you sell your company for millions/billions to a FAANG company, stop lying to yourself, you did it for the money, which is fine. Pack up your things and do something else with that money
