There are a LOT more festivals in my country then there were in the 90s. And its a lot easier to gain some fame and book a concert venue.

We are running into a problem here: how do you kill a parasite without killing the host? The US is not an export economy, it produces very little tangible goods. Its a very insular economy that because of its superpower history has deeply spread its cancer cells across the global economy. How do you fight it?
Yeah I always laugh when people talk about "the West". Globalization is far, so far away. Truth be told there was more unity in the world when dynastic royal families ruled the world- not democratic nation states.
True, Netflix first got popular in my country by people using VPN to access it. Now that they operate locally and are a part of the establishment they've been diligent in squashing VPNs.
Amazon was extremely late in Europe. Most European countries didn't have established players but mine did so they were never able to growth hack. Next day delivery isn't hard when the country is one big urban area that you can drive from one end to the other in 3 hours, at night at least.
Honestly I expect more competition from ali express than Amazon at this point.
