I think NFTs will become used culturally to fight the perennial "Eternal September" -- or the phenomenon whereby a place gets ruined because its too popular; They will be used to signal identification with some group and then network with them. Societies/tribes/subcultures are about including/excluding who they do and don't want.

No one can be absolutely certain of a future event, but you are being unreasonably negative.

The name is bad, the feedback popup should not popup unless you click it, it should also be in the lower right hand corner. Its not very obvious that I should scroll down to learn more.

NFTs are art-projects, status-symbols, patreons, access keys (conferences/private discords), and an experiment in IP law (as owning a Bored Ape confers merchandising rights.) The space is more interesting than just jpegs.

Aren't algo-stablecoins a refuted concept after IronFinance and Terra/Luna?

I think its interesting that two of the most bankable stars of their respective times are/were enormous guys: Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Dwayne the Rock Johnson.

Even if this ridiculous poll was true, and somehow the attack materialized; I think the Federal Government would make quick work of them -- with sonic crowd control weapons, tanks, fighter jets and who knows what else. Its kind of a libertarian fantasy that a modern government can be overthrown.

There's some horror stories of ferrets around toddlers (eating face/eating fingers), they seem pretty wild.

I've come to the conclusion that people can't be happy unless they are building something/building toward something. Doing nothing is not really an option, psychologically speaking. That's imo why adults don't make friends easily because their lives only meaningfully intersect when they have a shared goal.

Part of the attraction of the suburbs is that most US cities aren't very compelling. Its not like the choice is a Cleveland suburb vs Barcelona; its a Cleveland suburb vs Cleveland. Neither choice is all that great.

Why though? Do rising interest rates really explain such a large move?

Homeschooling is illegal in Germany and its harder to avoid covid vaccines (idk if these items matter to you)

FTX allows you to short some coins, don't know specifically if they allowed you to short LUNA/TERRA.

I was actually trying to figure out the risks of lending GUSD (a fully audited and collateralized stablecoin) to a Curve pool. I generally think its a bad idea, but I can't figure out why. There's big yield in stablecoins. But yeah, it seems likely that the risk is not worth the yield.

For years the major allegation has been that BTC price is artificially propped up by fraudulent Tethers. We finally get to resolve this point.

Anyone else think ft.com is pretty close to ideal? Black text on parchment/sepia paper?

Is there a list of common attacks with names? This is the first time I've heard the term "reentrancy attack", there's probably a dozen other terms I've never heard of, but would like to read about.
