I wonder if, like with lip reading, they switch from American English to a different language that's not so peculiar they would have and much less error rate

Wouldn't that be exactly the board's fiduciary responsibility? To know?

And yet an executive action is not a law. It's a dictate.

Course, one should never underestimate the value of a benevolent dictator...

As a White western with the obvious means to travel, I feel like they (tours in just about every second and third world country) look at me as if I am an ATM machine and they just need to figure out the PIN that will cause the money to come out.

I don't take it personally. Just pressing forward mumbling "no thank you" seems to work okay.

At one ancient temple in India I did hire a young kid to drive all the other entrepreneurs away cuz it was so bad. I don't remember the insignificant amount I gave him but I'm pretty sure it was enough to feed himself and his family for a few days.

' “56 percent of undergraduate respondents [at Brown] and 67 percent of graduate and medical student respondents reported intentionally using GenAI tools daily or weekly,” '

and the rest are lying.

(With apologies to the original example of anomalous self-reporting)

Who was in charge during this time period?

Single Responsibility was written about nearly 40 years after cohesion was grafted into software design from an actual architect's (like buildings and cities, absolutely not software o doctoral thesis.

"That kind of thing is now so known that it doesn't really need talking about, like you don't really need to endlessly discuss the database normal forms like people did in the 00s."

Has humanity progressed so much that we no longer forget the lessons of the past?

That would indeed be a good thing but I am not so sure of it.

We have people checking IDs at the doors of bars and strip clubs.

And just like in those cases, what is to prevent someone who is of age giving their ID to someone underage?

The supreme Court ruled that South Carolina could not secede from the Union because the Constitution was merely a continuation of the agreements under the articles of confederation even though all states had to withdraw from the confederation to get into the union.

After that bit of logic, nothing the supreme Court decides would surprise me

I think many people will assume you're historically unpopular president and fed gov are the current ones.

Since the federal law requiring this was passed in 2005, it's another historically and unpopular president and fedgov.

(I am of course referring to Abraham Lincoln and the 1861 federal government)

In the USA, at least, "every student college bound" has led to colleges being simply more high school but at an enormous cost of creating indentured servents.

It will be very hard to to force colleges to downsize to the appropriate population count. Lots of prestige and money on the line

Subverting the stories that a culture promotes to encourage "this is who we are" is a time honored way to attack the culture.

Both are, of course, propaganda

Mr "moral hazard"-- as if the people profit(eer)ing faced any...

I've always wondered if part of the 2008 bust was a psyop from his Ayn Rand beliefs.

It probably wasn't as damaging to the world as the Friedman doctrine but it was pretty darn close.

It's likely that your number 3 child is both the smartest and best looking. Not sure what that has to do with diet but it can't be a coincidence
