You could even shave a fraction of a penny off with each transaction and they would never notice!

There are definitely machines that suck and treat any little sensitivity as a potential theft. Blame goes to the machine makers and the decisions makers of the store. Generally self checkout definitely has its 'lane' with the 'less then 10' items shopping trip.

Which is worse? Chicago's dramatic change or San Francisco's dramatic change?

This is it. Flat structures aren't totally flat and there is some depth, but it's all about 'us' and there is strong leadership and ownership. People can wear multiple hats to get things done. Essentially, everyone is 'on the same page' for the better of the business.

We have a whole kitchen staff that prepares very good breakfast and lunch for us (no dinner!). The kitchen is also open for beverages/snacks throughout the day. We have a great gym with trainers. That is enough for me to come into the office everyday.

It's kind of crazy. He's basically a filtered and focused amplifier for an artist as opposed to typical producer/collaborator. he's the ultimate 'PED' for artists!

Quality, speed and price is all that matters. How does remote work fill that out for your company's business? The age old, "you can only optimize for two of the three".

You can make anything optimally work over time, but is a fully optimized remote workflow better than a fully optimized in person workflow and at what cost in relative speed, quality and price? Depending on the people and the problems, some work is just naturally suited to in person. Making a generalization that remote work was a mistake is going a bit overboard.

The Why Files did a video on this... pretty entertaining, and pretty scary if things actually happen

A lot of new age concepts are considered woo-woo, but mirror a lot of what is discussed here. Since none of the new age stuff can really scientifically be proven, there is always a healthy amount of skepticism. Either way, some resources to check into:

Seth Material

Neville Goddard

Joe Dispenza

Jose Silva

Robert Monroe

If anything, all the material is highly imaginative which is always fun!

Honestly sounds like the whole situation could be simplified as, "There's no more passion at Google because there is no real environment for real passionate leaders that naturally drive the company"
