I had no idea the .garden TLD even existed. Having just checked Porkbun, it seems like they go for $1.54 which is pretty cheap. No wonder they're being abused.
If you have a cheap TLD of course bad actors will buy a bunch.
I love talks like this so much. Trading isn't something I hardly ever think about as I live/work in a bubble of sorts, and it was a fascinating listen.
I have heard similar talks from Shopify and such back in the day, about their own product, but always love listening to more.
Letting go 1,100 people into a bleak job market. Absolutely awful.
It wouldn't shock me if people formerly in tech have changed careers entirely, seemingly every tech-focused company is laying people off in favour of AI.
I was under the impression that all the mainstream models already do this. I'm sure you could probably download some obscure, uncensored and unhinged model that says anything you want, but that isn't what 99% of people will be interacting with.
Not strictly relevant but I also have concerns about AI psychosis which seems related a little bit here, otherwise they'd realise it's a computer program and can't make you do anything.
Ladybird is coming along so well. I am a long-term Firefox user and I'll definitely be an early adopter of Ladybird when it enters very early alpha and precompiled builds start being released.
This is such an extreme thing to do, there must be a better way.
Why can't religion coexist alongside societal progress? From my (limited) understanding of the Bible, as it was translated and translated over the years to our common, modern languages a lot of it has been adjusted, and these adjustments don't align with the original text. Perhaps it needs to be changed further.
I would love for people to have a religion to believe in, which does fulfill them without going against current and future societal values and norms.
At this point do you even need to hire any juniors at all? It seems like there's a heavy reliance on AI agents and LLM especially for juniors. Is hiring a warm body that sits on a chair and prompts at a computer a good use of money?
