Xiaomi's HyperOS has many flaws but one great thing it does is have an app behaviour settings page that shows what app used what permission and when.

It allows you to toggle permissions on a per app per permission basis but sadly this toggle doesn't always work.

Still useful knowing how much you get spied on.

Windows and any softwaqre coming out of Redmond today is pure spyware with little to 0 utility.

This Clippy 2.0 wave of apps will obviously be rejected by the market but it can't come soon enough.

The higher $msft gets, the more pressure they have to be invasive and shittify everything they do.

Firefox might as well rebrand to Mozilla365 Spyware Edition

Absolute disgrace the amount of telemetry and home phoneing bloat in the official releases

They are absolutely yesterday's browser and tomorrow's browsers are trying to be better/faster while they just keep pouring cement on the grave they're already in.

Actually all these deaths are just transitory feel goods for the Israeli side. By killing more civilians than ever before, Hamas is able to recruit the same (maybe more) fighters back. They will have different leaders with different names, but these fighters who have had innocent family killed and now want revenge will be blowing themselves up at some point in the next decade or 2 and Israel is equally or less safe as a result.

Pager attack is a notable exception here, that was actually targeted badassery.

It goes on.

Guys hate to be the one saying this, but $700k for speaking fees at this level is really not that much money and certainly not enough to influence someone who thinks in 4 commas.

If Citadel accounted for 70% of all her speaking fees, that would warrant a closer look - this is a move along carry on for me.

Big problem here is using existing email address with other sensitive data in the inbox.

Need to tie up with an email provider and give people an email address on signup. Also needs intelligent grouping of said email with someone's gmail on both the invite/invitee side.

You are the man. Preach on.

I wonder how many teams with active users in the 1000s have fully dockerized/Kubernetes/microservice type shit designed for 10000x load that they will likely never get to because they didn't spend their time iterating on product.

The sad part is that most times Google violates your privacy, it's just some PM who thinks having some data will be super important and in most cases they're wrong.

Caveat here is that in 99.99999% cases it's also the case that nobody ever looks at your individual file but the fact that they could is bad enough.

Anyone know why they didn't use the latest 10th gen processors?
