Over the last 50 years Israel has killed, jailed, maimed, and forcefully removed from their homes far more Palestinians than vice versa. The Palestinians have no navy, air force, tanks, or helicopters. The power differential overwhelmingly favors Israel. The Israelis have far more intelligence and military support than the Palestinians.
Any discussion of the issue that ignores these massive imbalances is disingenuous.
There is no obligation for others to evaluate the claims. The line quoted by the parent suggests that it was written by a mathematical crank. I doubt AI would make such an unecessary statement. This is not how serious mathematicians write.
Ok, it’s the first mass extinction event caused by a single species in the last 1.99 billion years. We are shitting all over the planet. It’s not a matter of warm or cold but of toxifying the entire planet. It’s a matter of what type of environment we want to live in. Merely existing is dehumanizing.
Same for me. I wanted to major in physics and I quickly realized that I have no intuition for physics. Math made sense to me and I went to graduate school in math and still don’t understand anything in physics. Differential geometry, no problem. Electromagnetism makes no sense to me.
We are in the midst of a great extinction event. It’s the only extinction event caused by one species. We are quite bad for the planet’s ecosystem and things like factory farming of cows and pigs cause great suffering. Having far fewer humans on the planet would be a great benefit to other species and to humanity.
A system that prices in cost of negative externalities is better than what we have now. A system that caps how much wealth a person can have is a better system that what we now have. A system that prevents the exportation of pollution is a better system than what we have now.
These are opinions and I understand not everyone has these same beliefs.
That Xiaomi has been able to accomplish this in such a short time is quite impressive. The U.S. should allow Chinese cars to be imported. A car centric society ought to try to make cars more affordable.

I think the essence of the question you responded to is: The U.S. has a gigantic navy and couldn’t force safe passage through Hormuz. Why is this the case? Is the U.S. wasting its money given this?
