I experienced acute lower back pain after walking for 30+ minutes. I searched the whole internet to find a solution but only found advice saying, "if you have back pain, walk!" which was ironic since my pain occurred while walking. Then it dawned on me: I sit most of the day, cycle a lot, and drive my car, but I wasn't walking regularly. Now, I walk the dog for 40 minutes a few days a week, and the pain has disappeared!
windguru which is in part or fully based on crowd-sourced weather stations is already surprisingly accurate few days in advance, in many regions I tried. For a few hours forecast nothing beats the rain radar.
I wonder if they have already or will put some AI in their models.
In my previous service company, we aimed for 10%, which was considered the norm. However, we were particularly bad at achieving this, with only 8-9%, though we did have a good atmosphere and happy employees
When I began building bikes 10 years ago, Sheldon's site was already like an old book in the library.
It was a reference for older topics, such as recently when I needed to understand the internal workings of a Sturmey Archer hub to fix one.
However, it hasn't been of much help for the new developments from the past 15 years since his passing.
While less organized and sometimes messy, YouTube and many other sites can answer any bike mechanic question. Even ChatGPT generally provides good answers
If you like to tinker, buy a frame from Decathlon. Install a Bafang motor. Get Onirii MT4 brakes. Both are available on AliExpress. Use a 200mm front disc and 180 rear disc. Get a wheelset with a Sturmey-Archer hub, or normal wheels with a robust Shimano 9-speed transmission. And you have a very decent e-bike for around 1600€
The 2013 Macbook pro 13" has been my longest running laptop for work, and swapped it for the M1 two years ago because of the reviews.
One of my kids is still using it for school.
I never had a laptop for that long before. And just had to replace the battery once, by an after market one.
The keys on the keyboard disappearing is the only notable aging symptom.
Maybe an outlier, but based on that, I'm confident the M1 may last long too.
Plus a cheap but good enough spot welder($65 I can reuse), some nickel strips and I ended up at about the same cost as the original ones on material alone.
Porsche is part of the VW group, and while you could expect something better for the price paid, the UI is even worse in their EV Taycan. With poor touch screen feel and frequent crashes too.
Luckily they integrate, when it works, with CarPlay and Android Auto that provides a 2023 like interface.
The last year drama firing the CEO for many reasons, one being poor software results, doesn't bring hope for a fresh update any time soon.
