Then again, the answer obtained by burning the tokens seems true by definition.

The wikipedia page is being updated as we speak. The photo is still a recent one from 2016, to be changed soon.

Given how frequently a hug of death occurs on HN, no downtime would also have to be considered suspicious.

> On the positive side, the regulations require the ADDW system to work on a "closed loop" without the use of biometric data. This means that the data used to determine whether a driver is "distracted" must not leave the vehicle or be transmitted to the automobile manufacturer, its servers, or any third party. In essence, the data should be processed locally within the vehicle itself.

Of course there are still dangers and drawbacks and the article lists them too.

How does sandboxing work for code?

Is there a way to control the isolation myself, e.g. let it run code only in some VM that I provide?

Edit: is there a sandbox for code?

Sandboxes. Minecraft was one. Now it’s getting called a platform, at least in the submitted article. That’s good for engagement and monetization I guess, but sounds way less fun.

Quite a few of these aren't EU members, some aren't even in Europe; do we know why they were added? e.g.: Switzerland or United Kingdom; but also Oman or United Arab Emirates.

This time text is the better medium - it’s not easy to see the problem.

While I say “not easy”, others might say “hard”. Both are fine - for all we know the problem might be both hard and not easy to see.

In a one electron universe[1] it might actually be the same company (with a very productive sales team).

Interesting, I didn't know; context:

> His character, at the impressive level of 95, reflected not only a significant time investment but also a high degree of expertise.

> Musk’s performance has sparked skepticism about whether he genuinely leveled and equipped his character himself.

> The prevailing sentiment in the gaming community is that Musk doesn’t typically invest much time in video games, but instead leverages gaming achievements to draw media attention.

> they wanted our data, and promised the moon on features

I know a company that fits this so well that I almost want to check the names. It's older than 3 months though.

Same, I push to Claude or pull from it. I’m sure it could still escape the vm if its tokens got aligned in a certain way.

“Stays up to date over the long term” is in the “cons” list in my book - I’d prefer to have as few changes and rely on muscle memory as much as possible; and I find updates risky in this context.

I don’t mind a built in infotainment system stuck in a previous era, as long as it works.

> I am not advocating for employees to be abused; there is in fact a middle ground (…) DON'T BE GUILTY of abusing others by not caring about your responsibilities towards them.

My point is that the responsibility of the employer towards the employee (to allow time for vacation) has priority over the responsibilities of the employee towards the customer. It’s not the employee that failed you, it’s the employer. The employee cannot stay at work and the employer is responsible for providing replacement.

Still, why not switch companies to non eu ones?

This is why I run Claude Code in a VM.

Follow up question - is there a claude code alternative with an open source harness that also costs around ~$20/month? Doesn’t have to be frontier.

> the abuse of others who are not going on vacation but whose life you impact by your absence and lack of continuity

That’s the point - this doesn’t matter and work is organized so that people can go home guilt free.

Coworkers should be able to take over; managers are responsible for coordinating vacation time, training and handovers. The customers are free to switch companies.
