That functionality is called "vehicle-to-grid" or V2G sometimes. The F-150 lightning has that capability built in, and there are several companies working to bring devices to market which will act as an interface between the vehicle and your home's electrical panel.

This would result in exactly the disparity in "dollars per vote(r)" that was pointed out above. Because if more people apply for and get the same amount of grants as a smaller group of people, then the former group will have less dollars per individual.

Olga answered that the murder of the messengers sent to Kiev, as well as the events of the feast night, had been enough for her. She then asked them for a small request: "Give me three pigeons...and three sparrows from each house."[15] The Drevlians rejoiced at the prospect of the siege ending for so small a price, and did as she asked.

Olga then instructed her army to attach a piece of sulphur bound with small pieces of cloth to each bird. At nightfall, Olga told her soldiers to set the pieces aflame and release the birds. They returned to their nests within the city, which subsequently set the city ablaze.

Sharks are sensitive to electrical signals, so it would be interesting to see if we could generate ones they don't like.

I am guessing you are less than 30 years old? give it 5-10 years and it'll be much more painful after a heavy night of drinking. sugar and alcohol are both metabolized by the liver, and large amounts of both/either will make you feel poorly. age and frequent use of alcohol and junk food will just wear your body out sooner. the feeling of being drunk is most noticeable when your blood alcohol content is rising, aka when you drink quickly on an empty stomach. but you can have a nice buzz going all day with proper planning and eating beforehand.

I realize after typing this out it sounds a bit preachy, but take it as a caution from someone who felt invincible in their 20s

Knowledge of good and evil is a "Good Thing", and one interpretation of the reason God put the tree in reach of Adam and Eve is that he wanted them to eventually partake of its fruit, but they did it early and without whatever other prep was necessary. Think of it as a child slowly learning concepts instead of being immediately presented with complex knowledge and not having the necessary foundation to process it. Not sure about the positive light depiction, but I could see hallucinogenics being viewed as something that expands your knowledge/mind especially since people report out of body experiences when using them.

"booster in the form of a leather thong, called an ankyle, that would set the javelin spinning, getting it to fly further."

Sounds like they just used it to wrap around the javelin to give it a spin like you would a spinning top with a string.

Sprinkler systems have for years included a rain gauge that trips a signal if there is water in the tube and turns off the lawn watering. The smartphone controls would be convenient but only for very specific situations and not 99% of the time you're using the sprinkler system.

Your argument proves my point. The customers that are currently choosing larger, heavier ICE vehicles will choose the same form factor of EV when given the option, and that F150 which currently weighs the same as a Tesla Model 3 will add on however many hundreds of pounds a battery pack weighs. Same goes for the Camry, it weighs the same as a LEAF (a much smaller car) now, but when you add the battery pack in the bottom, now it weighs the same as a Model S.

From https://www.easyelectriccars.com/how-much-do-electric-cars-w...

Here are some examples of popular electric cars and how much they weigh in order of weight:

Model X Long Range – 2459 kg without passengers or fuel (7 adult capacity).
Tesla Model S Performance – 2241 kg without passengers or cargo (5 adult capacity).
Tesla Model S Long Range – 2215 kg without passengers of cargo (5 adult capacity).
Model 3 Performance and Long Range AWD – 1847 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
Nissan Leaf – 1775 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
Chevrolet Bolt – 1616 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
    Opel/Vauxhall Ampera-E – 1611 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
Renault Zoe, 44 kWh – 1480 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
Hyundai Kona – 1399 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
BMW i3 – 1343 kg without passengers or fuel (5 adult capacity).
Based on this, and the upcoming plans of many automakers to launch pickup truck and SUV type EVs, I would say that a significant portion of EVs will be heavier than the average car on the road currently.

Plus fat and some water, yes. And furthermore, to go from a 10 pound baby to a 100 pound adult, I will make the claim that a baby has to gain 900% body mass.
