The adversary can reason now, and our security tools weren't built for that.

Leo di Donato, who helped create Falco, the cloud native runtime security, wrote a technical deep dive into how Claude Code bypassed it's own denylist and sandbox. And introduces Veto, a kernel-level enforcement engine built into the Ona platform.

The hardest thing AI is replacing is not code, it is your identity. It took me weeks to write this essay, because I think that transition is at the root of what we all have to master over the coming years.

I also share my own experience and what it costs to defend your identity, and what opens up when you stop defending.

Most identity transitions used to take decades. AI is compressing that timeline into months. It is removing the parts of the job that were never really about you. And the question of who you are without them shows up fast.

CEO at Ona (formerly Gitpod) here. Every ephemeral environment Ona creates can directly connect to your Desktop IDE for easy handoff. Our team goes from prompt -> iterating in conversation -> VS Code Web -> VS Code Desktop/Cursor depending on task complexity and quality of the agent output. We call this progressive engagement and have written about it here https://ona.com/docs/ona/best-practices#progressive-engageme...
