This somewhat sums it up for me quite well, the article discusses a real problem i have, but glosses over that it is not true for all.
I want to be able to have my "email like" feed for low-volume stuff i want to read all from, whilst such a "bookshelf" mode that was mentioned at the bottom would in my opinion be perfect for some high-volume rss feeds (hn for example)
