Why does early education need to be productive? At that age, I'd much rather my kids learn life skills, socialize, play, etc than any kind of "curriculum" learning.

There are a lot of studies showing that emotional intelligence is a better predictor of happiness than early academics.

They'll have plenty of time to be addicated to screens later on in life /s

Sorry, but 5 year olds don't need a tutor, let alone solo screen time. If you're giving your young child screen time, it should be with a parent, and then you might as well spend it offline.

IMO, tutoring is for when a kid is behind in curriculum and you don't see that until late grade school, if not middle school.

Petty? It's just a tool, people have opinions, rational or not.

The stupid thing is getting up in arms because someone said something you don't like.

It's still a smartphone.

The perfect dumb phone is just a dumb phone. (Bonus, they're an order of magnitude cheaper than a decent smartphone).

Then don't use it? I don't get the hate just because it doesn't fit people's use cases.

Or you could do some of your own troubleshooting? Uploading a git repo is different than uploading a zipped/folder, especially if your index.htm/l isn't at the root.

As the saying goes, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Servers cost money.

Users pay for it with their privacy/data. Intrusive ads. Dark patterns.

The increasing eyeballs on screen time is a net negative for society. I would say consuming content should come with some friction.

My screentime would drastically decrease if even it was partial cents per video.

IMO, the wind turbine is way too complex to be actually useful. It's definitely not reproducible for $30 unless you have access to a junkyard.

The power drill required for it isn't especially low tech. A cheap used solar panel is a better solution in 95% of situations.

Communication is key. Think about a restaurant high in demand. There is implied communication that the initial experience might not be great in A) lines out the door, B) reservations are days/months out.

Once you're in the door, service should be good/great.

All companies have to do is just be more transparent. Ie, we have a backlog of 1000 applicants. Or just give a time expectation for the resume to be reviewed.

Ghosting people who've "gotten in the door" and spent a considerable of time interviewing is extremely disrespectful.

Skipping testing on 15% of all devices to save $600? Sounds like a poor business decision.

Why look at a single building and generalize a whole city?

Less bedrooms generally means more units and rent. Kids in units means much higher wear and tear. Design is highly dependent on the goals of the building developer.

What is the standard way? There are details which requires having a conversation and a relationship.

I certainly don't want a service to come early morning and wake up my kids or in the afternoon polluting the whole neighborhood with noise and fumes when I want to spend time outside.

Its unethical because you're intentionally bypassing restrictions. Just because others do it doesn't mean its okay.

If you saw a sign in a store that said "1 per person" or "for registered guests only", would you ignore it?

"Googling problems and finding generic solutions"

Your product links are just generic search terms in amazon and local lawn care providers just goes to the angi.com home page.

This feels like an AI play without any real effort.

The content is just poorly written and incomprehensible.

This article doesn't even get into the topic.

I like shortcat, but it's slow, even on a modern Mac.

Also, I'm not sure the dynamic nature of the hotkeys is a good thing. I could imagine if you use Mouseless for a long period of time, muscle memory might prevail as screen locations map to the same set of keys.

No, just figure out how much solar you want and buy and accordingly sized charge controller/MPPT.

They will all tell you maximum input volts and amperage. You can calculate watts by multiplying those two and just need to wire your panels in a way that doesn't exceed either value.

Its not difficult, you just have to change the configuration of your panels between in series and parallel.

Ideally you dont buy the all in one batteries as they usually have anemic solar inputs.
