This[1] part of the video really gives you the confidence to use AP for anything other than adaptive cruise control to you? Stopping a spot before is okay, but the abrupt stop, in the middle of two lanes, understanding the correct traffic light but then still creeping ahead...
I don't want to comment much on these threads because I am a googler and anything I said will be taken with pile of salt. But about your [2], from the thread it looks like Microsoft is doing the same thing -

And I don't even want to comment on killedbygoogle.com. I don't see many Google Cloud or paid products there. And there was a similar Microsoft site posted here couple of weeks ago.
The difference is person in H1B faces same issues as you but there are more issues which are frankly more complicated and time consuming due to visa related things.
I am really surprised so many people are stuck on Android One. I doubt any of the people here use an Android One phone. And those who own an Android One phone AND potentially can get confused between the names, do they even care what Android or OS is running on their phones? I feel people who are specifically looking to buy an Android One phone are savvy enough to know the difference.
