I don't understand why the author feels they have any say in NetBSD's decisions if he isn't willing to engage the community directly about it. Perhaps I missed some of the technical minutiae, but it just seems the author is being a bully and not really offering anything of substance other than expressing displeasure with the way NetBSD does things.
The author seems to think he has some kind of solid foundation for his opinion, something fuzzy about contaminated functions and bad NetBSD culture... If these same functions keep getting reimplemented, then perhaps there is a reason beyond what he is seeing other than lazy developers or whatever he is implying.
Natural used to be something but then the industry coopted that so now it means nothing. Just because some people still want actual natural food doesn't mean that they're wrong just because it's now a meaningless term in the food industry.
It's getting to the point where language is breaking down because as soon as a customer knows how to ask for what they want, the industry wants to change the definition of that word to mean high profit margin.
Why is the obvious so radical? Probably because YCombinator loves to delete anti-js comments on here? I mean hellbanning is one thing but completely removing the comments is another.
