It is illegal to own people in Sweden, so you can't steal them.

If you want to buy an EV today you are looking at months and months of waiting for the car to be produced and delivered. Sales numbers right now reflect production capacity more than demand for a specific brand or model. Tesla is ahead on production capacity.

Do people ever try to negotiate higher salary instead of health endurance from employer and then have a private one instead?

I have never understood why health ensurance is handled by the employer in the US, why don't people buy private health insurance instead? It feels insane to put yourself in that kind of dependency on your employer.

It's the same for all languages, premature abstraction is a plauge in this industry.

I think the current state of things is pretty sad. I only subscribe when I use the service a lot, I would like to subscribe to more services (to avoid being the product) but they are usually priced way too high. Take worflowy for example, I use it, free tier is enough for me, I like the service but is is far from critical to me. I would pay for it but maybe 10 USD per year would be my limit. There are a lot of services like that that wants 5 USD per month or something ridiculous. I think the real problem here is the cost of payments, but I haven't researched this.

I find it easier to get work on a short notice. But that requires a stable economic situation. Personally I don't mind going without work for a month or two, I even like it. May be stressful for the first contract though.
