When he does what we know he is going to do, the optics are going to be an absolute disaster not just for Denmark but Europe
The optics would be even worse for the US. Nobody would trust them as a partner again. It would take decades for the US to restore trust.

Denmark doesn't have submarines, if that's what you mean. We had two, one which even served in connection with the US led invasion of Iraq, but they got retired in the early 2000s:
