I don't think there is any evidence of it being racist. It juts seems more like incompetence to me.
Him being male would probably be more relevant, but it's far more likely for men to commit this crime either way, so it's not reasonable to suspect him more highly.
I'm from New Zealand and we are having the exact same problem in our largest city, Auckland.
It's now at about 20% Chinese population as well.
I have no problem with immigration and foreigners buying houses, but they are making it basically impossible for the average Kiwi to consider purchasing in Auckland, and it is somewhat of a problem when a single group has been allowed to purchase in such intensity in a single area.
The wider New Zealand population is quite angry about it, but the government seems to be denying a problem. The problem was they were happy taking in foreign money, with complete disregard for the inevitable consequences.
They are now going to be implementing much increased tax on foreign buyers to try and stop the problem.
The EU is an obvious special case because they have allowances for members of EU to easily travel between the countries.
And I can't speak for your one example, because that could have been a case of negligent border security. I could just as easily give an example of a person traveling to another country and having a lot of difficulty at customs, with them questioning why you are there, and forcing you to provide justification.
And also, if you happened to go to Norway as you say, staying there illegally, would you have felt justified to just live there indefinitely? Or do you agree the country has a right to deport you because you are illegally there and abusing the systems in that country.
I can understand it for drug trials. If men are more "homogeneous" and don't create additional parameters with which you have to consider, then for trialing it would make sense.
Race wouldn't really play a part here I don't think unless a medicine happened to effect a race differently (e.g. African people often have sickle-cell anemia, so you do have to consider race sometimes as well).
But the user above actually said something differently, in that people are treated differently. Like I said, doctors are trained to treat everybody regardless of race/ gender. Clinical trials based on variables of participants, and the general treatment of individuals is completely different.
Do you have any citation for that? I'm pretty sure doctors are trained to look after different races and both genders. Looking after women's specific biology is its own entire field.
Are you serious about this? 2 liters is 30 USD? I'm not sure if you're joking or being serious.
