As others have said, there are no rights being eroded by him having his account terminated by a private mailing list company.
Whatever you want to think about him, the content he produces does promote white nationalist ideas, as well as other negative alt-right and anti-SJW views. Whether he genuinely believes what he says or just does it for views is irrelevant, his dog whistles contribute to the radicalization of his viewers, often young white males. He is a stepping stone for viewers to other even more radical ideas, like "the great replacement" and "the Jewish problem". Engaging with him just gives him credibility, which he does not deserve.
All day, every day! I work for a team of people that have been together for over 20 years in some cases, with a few people dropping out and a few people coming in over the years. We've always hung out in an IRC channel as our main form of team communication. Initially because there wasn't any other workable option, and now because it's what we've always done and it works for how our team operates.
Trying to BS me. I don't mind a bit of creative resume padding here and there, we all do it. However, don't lie to me and say you are an expert in something when you've done little more than view an introduction YouTube video on it. I will call you out and it will make us both uncomfortable.
I'm nice and deep in the Apple world (iPhone, iPad, Macbook) and I generally am very pro-Apple. However, I can whole heartedly say for anyone with an even semi-complex use case, Numbers is completely unsuitable and will actually drive you insane. Just Google "apple numbers pivot table" for an example.
You've not been looking down then. I used to play "Human or Canine" while walking from the train to my office in Miami. I like to think I got pretty good at telling the difference after a while.
I don't think there is a problem with the product per se; as others have mentioned I only listen to one radio station ever. That isn't a limiting factor for me, and I like the design and aesthetic it gives off. The kicker for me is I can't justify the cost, even if I understand 100% why it costs what it does.
That being said, there are still a lot of people out there in a certain age bracket with a certain life style for whom $60 isn't a big deal and they would be be more than happy to pay that much for something that 'brings them joy'. The Farmers Market set is still out there and living large, even if it isn't quite as rampant as it was a few years ago.
Now if it was $25, I would probably get one in a heartbeat, because that's my 'this isn't going to hurt me and if I enjoy it, why not' price.
Using something like Helpdesk as an example; "having been operating at a higher level" is a Level 1 person who does Level 2 work, and "shows potential to do more valuable work" is a level 1 person who only does level 1 stuff, but knocks it out the park and looks like they will succeed doing higher level work.
"Bears... no, bears, you know like Yogi and Boo Boo. Agitated, like I'm getting now. Trampolines, those things you bounce up and down on".
And when I said context, I didn't mean that they would understand what those three words point to, but rather they instantly can read those words having read them before. Long/Lat for most people isn't something they have ever used, so simple things like the "-1" might get missed. Admittedly the operator is likely to know that '1.080278' doesn't make sense given the country they are in and will automatically add the -, but it doesn't hurt to have options?
It's not an advertisement, the BBC are explicitly not allowed to provide that kind of content. Also, you've got to understand the mentality of someone when they are stressed and scared. They wouldn't be thinking straight and the fairly simple task of following a line on Google Maps becomes much harder. Additionally, when dealing with navigating in rural locations, it's not as simple as just 'go in straight line to place X'. There is terrain to navigate around, which is not obvious in the dark, especially when you're not familiar with the location.
They had obviously got to the point of calling the emergency services, so let's make it easier for them to be located, rather than complaining that they should have just got their compass out and sucked it up.
Isn't the argument also that when tired, stressed, cold, and maybe even injured, it's easier to tell a 999/911 operator three English words you're used to, rather than a string of numbers most people don't have any context for.
Phone IRC apps are the most annoying things in the world. Constant join and part messages as they disconnect and reconnect. That's one advantage of things like Slack; they handle persistence at the server level, rather than relying on the client. That being said, I'm a huge IRC fan and use it at work all day every day on two internally managed servers.
