Every company mid sized onwards has dedicated FP&A teams that do rolling forecasts at least 2 quarters into the future and also have an operating plan (budget) decided before the FY begins. Projections go out to Wall Street. Executives look at top line summaries, upcoming revenue streams, profitability ratios and so on. Decisions are made on those numbers

I feel exactly the same way. HTMX is a godsend. That and a Tailwind UI purchase can make anybody very dangerous at frontend. I'm curious for other viewpoints though: what exactly about js gives that icky feeling. For me it's just the inconsistent syntax. With TS, on the other hand just seeing a node modules folder makes me nauseous. This is more of a hacker perspective though. All my non technical friends have been seduced by offers of either Alexa or Google Home. Because in my region, they are commonly sold at a huge price discount with almost any medium to large purchase. EX: Buy a laptop - Google Home at 50% off

I want to call out that while the implication in the title might be true, nothing in the article provides any proof. By proof, I mean something like a quote from a big tech honcho to the effect of 'I don't see a future in India'. The article just spouts recent tech happenings in the last 3 years or so (chronologically beginning with Facebook's troubles pushing Free Basics on the Indian market, rightfully rejected)

Do you really think that this is the only scandal that's going on right now? Or that it started with this particular instance? There's probably so much going on behind the scenes since decades now that the sport has likely never been fair or clean. And this is not just baseball, it's with every sport up to and including the Olympics
I guess I'm just trying to understand why people watch sports in the first place. Because for the vast majority, it is almost ALWAYS because it's an exhibition game and/or entertainment and the notion of fair play is the last thing on their minds..
