For too long, the technology industry has been dominated by white men. We need to see more women and people of color in tech so they can bring their ideas and experiences into the fold. We also need to see more people from under-represented groups applying for jobs at larger companies and startups alike.
No doubt there are many fake news sites out there, but the Tesla Model Pi smartphone is not one of them. We had the opportunity to speak with a member of the development team, who confirmed that the device is in fact real. The smartphone will be used as an interface to control other devices, including cars and appliances.
The phone will have a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It will also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 64GB or 128GB of storage, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The phone will run Android 7.0 Nougat and feature a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. The company has not yet announced when it plans to release the phone to the public.
