As opposed to the fiercely independent journalists at the New York Times and Washington Post who would never regurgitate Democratic Party propaganda? Give me a break.
I'm sure Elon chose them because he thought they were sympathetic. So what?
The fact that he was the former head of Twitter's censorship operation, that he publicly attacks Elon Musk while wrapping himself in the prestige of his former position, and that he likes to go on stage and talk about his former job.
Anyway, not sure what him wanting to be a public figure or not, even though he does, has anything to do with it. My point is just that because he is a public figure at this point, death threats are unfortunately expected. As the former head of Twitter Trust and Safety, he knows that too. So his decision to make a media story out of it is in all likelihood nothing more than him trying to get a favorable news cycle out of it.
Let's assume there's no documentation or non-conspiring witnesses who can pin someone, but there are five co-conspirators. They will quickly turn on each other and spill the beans. Literally the prisoner's dilemma. All the government needs to do is threaten 20 years in prison. People will do anything including betraying friends and lovers to get that down to 5 or 10 or zero.
I tried guanfacine and it made my resting heart rate go down to 40. Was also feeling a tiny little bit more labored while breathing. I really liked the other effects though. I stayed on it for two months or so but stopped for fear of long term side effects. From my research, it looks like I had an atypical but not unheard of reaction.
I think I'm like you. I'm usually the smartest guy in the room, a phenomenal problem solver and brainstormer, and a great engineer and lawyer. I'm currently doing great in a very easy and rewarding job I stumbled into, but it has a time limit. I tried stimulants years ago but it made me feel physically awful (jaw grinding, digestive problems, heart palpitations, exhaustion, etc.) and didn't actually help (I'd just get hyperfocused on distractions). Also tried guanfacine and had other negative reactions. I've actually been thinking of starting a business as a better match than a desk job before I saw all this ADHD founder talk. Reading these comments makes me feel so encouraged. Thank you.
