The problem with Google is that everything is attached to your name. I never write any review on Google knowing that anybody can judge me based on that review alone. Reviews are between me and the target of the review. My coworkers don't need to know what I've bought, where I've been and all my opinions about those things.
They don’t seem that bad here in Eastern Europe. Many times Uber is a bit more expensive than classic taxis. But most important they provide a very good service compared to regulated taxis. To understand what we had here before think of the normal taxi companies as the mafia. All of this while the government and the police did nothing.
You will never stop being treated as a machine, especially in big corp.
As for the anxiety, stop trying so hard. Your goal is to find people that you actually like. You can’t really be friends with people that you despise or have nothing in common with.
Look for what people say or do in common areas as a kitchen or a chat and try to relate without pushing yourself.
Play the game on your own terms and keep in mind that it’s not really a competition. You’re trying to have fun.
