My comments were like this, and found out I had been shadowbanned. I talked to a Mod, and they told me my shadowban was reversed, but I still don't get any responses from my comments and rarely see them as a guest. Is it possible you have a shadowbanned? I have my settings turned on so I see dead comments (not sure if that's the same thing or not)
Edit: this comment is not showing up when not logged in either, so guess my shadowban was not reversed or something else is going on.
Pretty easy if you do a shot here and there of olive oil. 1 shot is 357kcal. Do 8 shots of that throughout the day, and you'd hit close to 3k.
Among the "I can't gain weight" crowd (in BB/strength training circles), this is always suggested as a solution (or put it in a shake, but this is over with fast, though not 8 of them).
"From USDA food consumption surveys of that era, the FDA knew that women typically reported consuming 1,600 to 2,200 calories a day, men 2,000 to 3,000, and children 1,800 to 2,500. But stating ranges on food labels would take up too much space and did not seem particularly helpful. The FDA proposed using a single standard of daily calorie intake—2,350 calories per day, based on USDA survey data. The agency requested public comments on this proposal and on alternative figures: 2,000, 2,300, and 2,400 calories per day."
"Despite the observable fact that 2,350 calories per day is below the average requirements for either men or women obtained from doubly labeled water experiments, most of the people who responded to the comments judged the proposed benchmark too high. Nutrition educators worried that it would encourage overconsumption, be irrelevant to women who consume fewer calories, and permit overstatement of acceptable levels of “eat less” nutrients such as saturated fat and sodium. Instead, they proposed 2,000 calories as:" <snip - I highly recommend reading the rest>
Straps are key though, if you are like me, and suffer from chronic Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Deadlifting heavy will exacerbate the condition (or high reps with 6-7 RPE even). It does seem to get better if I don't use them for my warmups and do use them for working sets, but I still get twinges.
Isn't it also pretty tough to get citizenship in NZ? I looked into it years ago, and while both my wife and I are skilled professionals (Physical Therapist and Programmer, respectively), we weren't eligible. Though part/most of that was being overweight.
I was this way with books too. I went through several phases where I just couldn't get into a good series, but could read "stand alone" books all day long. These days, I feel like just as I get to know the characters, the story is over.
Enjoying both, I find myself leaning toward the "drawn out" stories, because they let me interact with characters that I like, for much longer periods.
At first I was annoyed at how TV series seem to have gone from 20+ episodes a season to down to as few as 8 per season (less than 4 in some cases, IIRC), but the almost "mini-series" style of shorter seasons makes less filler, but without the rush a movie has.
Impressive! I had a little over 2,000 books years ago. I got mine in a similar way, I'd purchase lots of books on ebay for < 1.00 a book, and would go to those used book stores and trade them in (2 for 1) for books I wanted. I did this between the ages of 19 and 25 or so, at which point I went away to college and didn't want to move them with me so I donated some to a friend and some to a library.
I much prefer starting earlier and getting done earlier. A lot of this has to do with my schedule vs the babysitter's (my parents) schedule, but getting done at 3pm is a great feeling. Getting up at 4am (and starting work at 6am) isn't always fun, but I'm a bit of an early bird anyway.
Can't you just order a car online, on the car manufacturers website? I've not yet done it, but I have built a few custom vehicles, to checkout out options and configurations. I've done it on Nissan's website, as well as GMC, Chevy, Audi, and Jeep.
Is there further haggling on the price once you have your car custom built and shipped to the dealer?
Holy crap, is this what cops whisper to themselves overnight to make them feel better about killing people constantly? They aren't dealing with wild west, quick draw experts here. There was a guy with a pocket knife in Seattle awhile back that got executed by a cop because he was whittling (and deaf in the ear the cop was talking to him). Do you think that cop that that he was some ninja knife thrower that could make an accurate throw within milliseconds?
When driving, traveling at 60mph, you have 10+ milliseconds to react, often that's not enough time. However, if you have a gun trained on me, with your freaking finger on the trigger, and it takes about 10ms to pull it, There is no way the typical meth head can whip out a holstered gun and shoot 2-3 people before you can squeeze that hair trigger. The fact that cops want put push that as the "fact of the matter" is sad, and pathetic. Go ahead and keep justifying your murder.
Truth be told, most cops are probably scared shitless because your bosses push this bullshit about millisecond accuracy and military precision in thought and action, and it's your bosses that really cause this death-toll, it's best you just quit repeating their crap and focus on reality.
I switched to VSCode just for my Typescript projects, and really like it. Main reason I switched was that in Sublime you can hide JS and map files, but it always hides them. With VSCode you can have logic in your config, so you can hide JS files, only if a TS file with the same name exists, that way I don't have to switch config when I'm looking for a js file particularly, and can keep my sidebar clean and show only files I need to edit.
For vodka, this is why I seek out actual russian imports, and I have a strong preference for potato distilled vodka. Unfortunately, finding these are few and far between, so grain it is. Still, when that's the case, I go for cheap vodka, and there's quite a strong difference there too. I'm talking 750ml for 7-8 dollars, some is just undrinkable, others are smoother than smirnoff (also not high end, just comparing to a well known, marketed as highish end).
