This is a fantastic topic to cover. I have been lately talking about Costco being one of the best companies today. They are not erroding trust and somehow resisting the ratchet of optimizing for the next quarter (I mean its culture and norms). That trust allows me to spend so much more on my trips than I would at any other store. I really look forward to reading this book.

shipping my first piece of software. i was playing the game Mewgenics. i knew why the developers decided to not show all of your cats at once (players will optimize all of the fun out of your game), but i thought that was particularly egregious given you can have upwards 100 cats, and keeping them all in working memory was too taxing.
so within a day, i had claude code make me a PyQt6 app that over the next ~2 months grew in complexity and functionality. I had 600 users. It was tranlated into Chinese, Russian, and Polish.
The speed of taking an idea to production was unbelievable. And I am not technical. I learned a lot about how software development worked. Super glad I did it.
I have always been interested in computers, building my own, playing pc games, etc. However, I never learned to program. LLMs have given me the ability to bring things to life that would have otherwise been impossible. I have a lot of pent-up software I have wanted for a long time.
the only respectful youtubers are those that monetize off platform. Veritasium had a video a while back (that I can't find now) where he was walking around London saying the algo is requiring that he make longer videos. lo and behold, his videos are now 20+ mins when the main idea can be explained in 4 mins.
I will use chatgpt chat to do the same thing, but I like the idea of using basically a fork of the claude code session to splinter off and watch the system from the outside with the same amount of context
I made a podcast feed from YT with podsync so that I can take videos on the go. I use the playlist feature to pull them down. this feels like a great way for me to pull out only select videos. a direct way to put vids on a feed would be great, but understand if that doesnt make any sense. thanks for putting it together.
an option for no thumbnails, or just the first screen instead ot thumbnails + lower case titles also helps lower the lizard brain pull even further.
$86.30 for my 32gb DDR4 3200 stick Oct 2022. So glad I bought that. I have a mini-itx board and one of the ram slots died so i was forced to upgrade to a single stick. the historic trend of price deflation in computer components has always had me leaning toward not upgrading my set up.
fortunately all i play now are "premium" web browser games like narrow.one and eggball, ha! going to be hurting when GTA 6 launches with my 3050/1070 gpus...
