While your comment is right from my position (I often help startups to solve them problems) thanks for using "salient" - new really nice word goes right in to my dictionary.
Or you can buy studio in the city and huge farm house with land 1 hour drive away... Then weekends spend in your farm house and weekdays in your studio... It would be close enough to pop in in week days also. 1 hour drive aint bad.
"some" countries, not all. Media wants you to believe all countries have those problems, but that is not true. There is at least two dozens countries that would act on such an event rationally. Damn, even Germany would probably do something about it.
