>left wing == gay people supremacy

Yeah I can see why LLMs don't reflect your world view (it's fucking stupid)

Those graphs are about income, not wealth.

What if its just self selection?

Conservatives spread propaganda about woke universities -> conservative kids are less likely to go. Do this for decades and you end up in the situation we're in.

Either that or conservatives are just stupider and less likely to be academics; which is, in my opinion, more likely than your hypothesis about grand conspiracy.

What if they just like writing code?

>more of the same >different players and different methods

doesn't really sound the same to me but I guess we can just agree to disagree

We should march head-first into a new exciting bad thing without question because the other bad thing was bad.

Incredible argument

No I didn't even imply that actually.

What is this even supposed to mean?

It is considerably easier to manipulate someone if you have a lot of data about them, yes.

The article mentions basically all major social media though.

Besides, even if it was just about twitter, it can only take a small portion of the population to swing an election. Word of mouth is also downstream from twitter. People might not see something on twitter, but they might hear it from someone who saw it there.

The article is literally about how megacorp controlled algorithms are shaping our politics and this is your take away?

Do you work for Anthropic or something?

You seem weirdly invested in defending bad decisions.

Even if you're and AI booster, shouldn't you want a better UI?

They're a multi billion dollar company. Surely they can dedicate a small amount of their resources to improving UX?

Yeah but could this be because people are more likely to go to ER in countries with free healthcare?

I've been to the ER in my country because of abnormal stomach pain. Obviously I was triaged and had to wait hours because it was not considered life threatening. But in the end a doctor saw me for free. I think if I were in the USA and didn't have health insurance I would have just stayed home and avoided the risk of an expensive bill.

Whether it's possible or not is not really relevant.

All I'm saying is that if you were shown undeniable proof that you were in a simulation I think it would change how you felt about "reality".

>You enjoy the warmth of the sun, the cool of a breeze, the sound of a running stream, the majesty of mountains and oceans, the power of storms. These all evoke the sense and appreciation of beauty while being completely removed from a creator.

I don't think this is true. I think that if you found out you were in a simulation and that all these things were just electrical pulses being sent to your brain in a jar it would vastly change your perception of the world. And I think that's a good analogy for AI

These are all good examples.

My point is that I just don't think the value-add for any of these are worth the existential dread most people have about losing their career. Then there's the scams, misinformation, trying to find a job when every recruiter is using AI to filter job listings, etc.
