The title is misleading. It should be "Does Porn addiction really exist?"
> Using this technique, called "edging", she was watching porn for two to three hours, seven days a week.
This and other statements throughout the article are referring to addition to online porn, not sex (any kind of oral sex or intercourse or foreplay) of the traditional sense in what the work "sex" means in this context.
Would that be perhaps because you were smoking or eating an Indica strain? I'm sure you know that the experience can vary drastically depending on the strain.
I used to be laser-focussed and ambitious when on a Sativa, and completely shut down and slump over on the couch when on an Indica.
Lot of people relating their personal experiences haven't mentioned what strain they were on, or tried, so it's difficult to get any meaningful insight from their experience IMO.
Only thing common across all strain, I've noticed, is the short term and long term memory loss, like someone else had mentioned about not comprehending tech conversations and such. That was a deal breaker for me also.
I know this will be down-voted, but I've been having issues focussing at work and completing projects for the last 10 years or so.
Visited a Psychiatrist (in Palo Alto). After listening to my situation, she followed it up with a detailed Q & A. She then prescribed 5 mg XR (extended release) of Adderall. Apparently "mild ADHD" is a thing with software engineers in their 30s and up...
The difference has been night and day. I'm completely focussed now, in the zone. I've even gotten side-projects that were languishing for many years, done and shipped over 2 weekends!
I take it only on days I need to focus and get something done. I also take weekends off and also take 1 week per month completely off. This keeps me from building tolerance.
It integrates nicely with GitHub and is blazing fast (distributed, geo-cached CDNs).
Best of all, the team at Netlify knows what it's doing, and founder Matt is very smart and their support responds instantly to any questions, no matter how deeply techie it is or how complex.
[ Disclaimer: I'm not affliated with Netlify. Just happen to love their service as I was looking for this and did an extensive evaluation of various such service providers]
