This is true we should consider everyone's plight, but no one give this same amount of thought to the issues that plague black people.
No one (nationally) talks about the impacts of high unemployment,PTSD, despair (and everything that is being mentioned in this thread) on, say, the crime rate in Chicago. It's always well black people are bad and we need to send in more police. Always. Even here.
Whenever there is a topic about crime (which is a symptom) and black people...it's always "the crime stats point out" and "disproportionate" and "so of course you need more police".
Never a peep about the underlying issues. Never a word about the plight of black people, which high crime is a symptom of the plight.
Well, if white men "deaths of despair" rates are surpassing that of black men, may be the answer is to start treating them like black men. You, know...more police and more jails.
