Author here. Perhaps we could be clearer in the piece about this, but there is no value judgement attached to our participants' workflows. On the contrary, we often marveled at how resourceful and clever many of our participants were in solving their tasks with technology.
Yes, it was interesting from our perspective also. For some participants, the use of the tracking protection feature brought attention to tracking. Further, at least two of the participants described how they researched tracking as a result of using the tool.
