with enough check and balances I think this is only a positive. It will lead to faster and more accurate police work.
It will also take the "life was in danger" aspect away from policing in which people are killed unncessarily. A drone can target a leg of a suspect without having anyones life in danger.
The police are not moral arbiters. They are policy enforcers. So you basically have a robot that has a soul and fears mortality going around right now. This is more dangerous than actually having a robot do the job.
Some police are community protectors but that has gone the way of the dodo bird a long time ago. Especially in big cities.
im just not worried at all ... this problem is only a problem for people that think social networks matter. They dont. These connections are vapor, their importance is only granted by the person that believes it to be.
To think that social media is important is to think being famous is important. Its the same mindset that makes people feel more or less confident based on how many likes they have.
Step away from the social media. Do something active in the real world. Learn a craft. Make a connection with someone in your area.
an in memory database is not a database ... you might as well just create billion object array and have your java process constantly running to have that data accessible.
