This is false. It's insurance, they don't prevent you from seeing any provider you want, they just have set out certain limitations on what they will cover. All insurance has limitations, an HMO is just on a spectrum of coverage. A PPO plan won't cover every provider either.
You are bringing your own assumptions and preconceptions to what Linux is about. Linus Torvalds is not Richard Stallman. Linus has his bread buttered by the large corporate interests that contribute to ensure Linux development. The Linux foundation was initially basically a way to setup a commercial entity to pay Linus for his work. Since Linus holds the Trademark for Linux, it's kind of his say what gets to carry the moniker Linux Foundation.
And there bodies, what are the FSF and Apache Foundation after all? There's also the GNOME foundation, etc, etc.
The instant pot is a pressure cooker and a slow cooker. And other than a fucking electronic panel similar to a rice cooker I don't see what the big deal is. Indians have been using them for years, electric or stove top pressure cookers, that is. I bought an Instant Pot years ago and we love it, but god these fucking hipsters turn everything into a self congratulatory bunch of crap.
No electric pressure cooker on the market can get up to a stove top, but the instant pot is pretty good.
I don't follow. When the book was written it was System 7 days. That's about as far removed from UNIX as you can get. This book was also before Linux was really on the radar outside of enthusiasts. You'd get 386BSD on a CD-ROM, FreeBSD was just released by Walnut Creek. This book was mostly a response to the absolutely atrocious landscape of commercial UNIX... the catalyst for Windows NT tremendous success.
> New research recently found that starting at age 25, we lose more friends than we make each year.
No you dumb bitch, for most people in some cohort they will lose more friends then they gain, but this cannot be applied to any individual. I made plenty of close friends in my 30s, much more than my 20s.
If you want more friends in your 30s adjust your lifestyle out of something average. Unlike money and careers this one is rather simple and accessible to most healthy people.
