People don't want to talk to computers, that's why chatbots (in their current form) fail one after the other. People also don't want to listen to emotionless robots. As long as this technology is not 100% accurately mimicking a human, the Uncanny valley effect will kick in and just leave an uncomfortable feeling.

I think the main factor is being already rich or being born into a rich/influential family. A lot of problems startups have suddenly disappear when you can ask your dad for a small loan of 1 million dollars or ask your mum for a meeting with the chairman of IBM. Not saying this is the only factor but this "Great Filter" that weeds out those who don't have money or contacts helps others to develop their business with less competition.

Not saying that this is true in your case but I have seen this too often that managers think they can code just because they did it 10 years ago. It's surprisingly hard to write good code when you are not in practice.

What does "recognize Googlebot from its IP addresses" mean? If I'm a human and I access a site, I have some other IP than Googlebot, how should this side know if I'm a human or knuckleheadsbot?

Maybe a naïve question but what prevents Knuckleheads’ from ignoring the robots.txt and crawl the side anyway? And if it's so easy to do, how does Google have a monopoly on crawling then?

I don't get it. What's the benefit of buying a community? It's not like you can really control what the community does or thinks, you may can control which ads they see but how else do you make money with this community?

What should this prove? That Azure can run a big service like Discord? I don't think Microsoft has to prove that. Hosting Discord on Azure will be a massive cost factor, how should this pay off?
