Are you aware of the implications of being SOL on climate change? A 6 degree rise in temperatures and we probably kill all phytoplanton - the source, along with kelp and algal planton of half our oxygen (ie. we all die).
Why are we analyzing this as though it's supposed to be an honest statement from Slack (ie. arguing they're not an open platform or that Slack isn't actually as special and snowflakey as the ad makes them out to be)? It's pure marketing. Could argue it comes across too insincerely for positive impact, not sure if that will be true for the general audience reading it or not.
>> Contrary to most belief, most men are not terribly impressed with a woman's ability to have a career.
Women do not have careers to impress men.
The argument underlying here in more blunt terms: men bring careers to the relationship and women bring emotional support/cleaning. (and these duties are apparently exclusive - he assumes a women with a career is less likely to be emotionally supportive, so we must assume a man with a career is less likely to be emotionally supportive as well - so we're really dead centre of the 1950s here)
